Our Story

A Sharp Arrangement was formed at SUNY Potsdam by female students in the spring of 1994. We are an award-winning group, placing third in the 2011 ICCA Quarterfinals, again in 2014 (along with recognition for Outstanding Vocalist), and most recently placing second in the 2019 Quarterfinals and advancing to Semi-Finals. Sharps regularly consist of 12-18 treble singers that promote music and music education at SUNY Potsdam, and everywhere we tour!

Our Mission Statement

A Sharp Arrangement, SUNY Potsdam’s student-run treble a cappella group, is committed to performing in schools and other various venues.  The group takes pride in working with students and members of the community through their performances.

A Sharp Arrangement has come together to explore the area of women’s a cappella music through a variety of musical styles.  The group fully supports music education in the schools and wants to more actively engage students in music.  They promote music in everyone’s lives through their performances.

A Sharp Arrangement is committed to learning healthy, supported and energized singing that can be enjoyed by all of their audiences.  It is the mission of A Sharp Arrangement to perform and entertain the public through a cappella music.
